Melanie was born and raised in the American Midwest, growing up in Iowa and attending college in Kansas. Melanie moved to Canada following her graduation and married her husband, Kris, whom she met while working at a camp just west of Edmonton. They have a young daughter, two cats, and one dog. Melanie has been a part of the TBC family for 7 years, first as a volunteer, then as the interim director of the Worship Arts’ department (2020), and finally as the Worship Arts’ pastor (2022). Melanie studied at Manhattan Christian College, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Worship Ministry and Intercultural Studies. She also recently completed her master’s degree at the Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies. Melanie loves to go on trips to the mountains or the ocean, explore cities and architecture, watch NFL games and cheer on the Chiefs, read, and watch various types of shows and movies.
