In accordance with the Alberta Health Services recommendations and Elk Island Public School district, we are cancelling our Trinity Baptist Preschool for the foreseeable future.  Information regarding Preschool tuition payments will be made available in the coming days.  Updates will be kept current through the Trinity Baptist Preschool website.

In response to the coronavirus pandemic that is spreading around the globe, we first want to ask you to pray for all who are affected by this disease.  God be with those who are ill, isolated, afraid, or grieving the loss of a loved one.  We offer our prayers of thanksgiving and protection for those involved in medical and emergency care who put at risk their personal health to serve and support others.

As Christ followers, we are not to be shaped by fear. We take Christ at His word when He repeatedly said, “Do not be afraid.”  We are called to reassure others in this promise as they face the realities of sickness and death.  This is a time to live wisely and with great compassion in our neighbourhood and church.

A few weeks ago, Trinity Baptist Church developed its own action proposal for COVID19 as the possibility of having to enact greater measures drew closer.  The time for increased measures has come.  We wish to be responsible citizens and be informed of the risks and precautions associated with this pandemic.  Trinity Baptist Preschool will remain open and hold classes, ensuring alignment with Alberta Health Services guidelines and requirements for gatherings.  We will be especially attuned to the decisions and protocols implemented by Elk Island Public Schools.

We request that you self-assess and refrain from attending classes at Trinity Baptist Preschool if any of the following is true for you:

  • you, or a member of your household, have recently travelled outside of Canada,
  • you or someone you live with or care for is a part of the high-risk population (as defined by AHS)
  • you, a member of your household, or your children have any signs of illness

Because this is a fluid situation, please know that Trinity Baptist Church and Preschool leadership are continually evaluating our procedures that affect our daily and weekly programming.  We will provide updates through email and via our preschool website as the situation develops.

Please continue to pray for church and preschool leadership, all levels of government, and health care workers.
