Lament Service

Monday, August 30th @ 7:00 p.m.

Pain.  Grief.  Sorrow.  Brokenness.  Our First instinct is to avoid pain. We want to close our eyes to the grief and the sorrow that surrounds us and consumes us.  We long for God to simply remove the hurt we feel inside and we cry out to Him.

Pain, however, is unavoidable to the human experience in this broken world.  Lament is about creating space for our pain to breathe.  Lament is, in itself, “a passionate expression of grief or sorrow”.  We are not meant to stay in lament forever, but its purpose is to bring us back to praise.

In the looming shadow of the Covid-19 pandemic, we invite you to join us for a time of lament.  As a church family, we will come together to mourn, heal, and reflect over the events and experiences of this past year.
